Brevard's Children and Families In Need

Helping Children Go From Helpless to Hopeful

At the time of this writing, Brevard Public Schools had identified more than 1,700 children along the Space Coast who have no permanent place to call home.

In 2012, the Space Coast Association of REALTORS® learned about the number of children in our community experiencing homelessness. It was decided then that our REALTOR® community needed to take action to help these children.

The Brevard's Children and Families in Need committee was formed.

With our partner, the Cocoa Beach Area Hotel and Lodging Association, the Brevard's Children and Families in Need committee held fundraisers to benefit the Brevard Schools Foundation, the Take Stock in Children Program, and gather much needed resources. In the years since, the committee has raised nearly $400,000 to help these children.

Brevard's Children and Families in Need raises funds and resources, and sheds light on the urgent needs our children experiencing homelessness along the Space Coast. Our committee provides school supplies, shoes, clothing, refurbished laptops, public transportation, tutoring, summer camps, prom attire, winter coats, and many more resources to our community's most vulnerable citizens.

In 2016, Brevard's Children and Families in Need raised $93,237 for children experiencing homelessness in Brevard County. Our 2017 goal is to raise $105,000!

Brevard's Children and Families in Need appreciates any donations offered and welcomes you to join us in helping children go from helpless to hopeful.
